DUBAI: Emirates is set to introduce its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft on flights to Madrid from 16 September, offering a new level of comfort and luxury.
The Spanish capital becomes the airline’s first destination in Spain to be served by the newly upgraded aircraft, which features Emirates’ acclaimed Premium Economy cabin, refreshed Business and First Class interiors, and a redesigned Economy Class.
Enhanced onboard comfort
The four-class Boeing 777 will operate as flights EK143 and EK144. Emirates flight EK143 departs Dubai daily at 14:30hrs, arriving in Madrid at 20:20hrs local time. The return service, EK144, leaves Madrid at 22:05hrs and lands in Dubai at 07:10hrs the following day.
The aircraft features a refurbished First Class cabin, designed for premium comfort, and an all-new Business Class layout with a 1-2-1 seating configuration for greater privacy and lie-flat comfort. Premium Economy passengers will experience cream leather seats with deeper recline, generous legroom, cushioned leg rests and adjustable headrests, offering accessible luxury on board.
Modernised fleet experience
Emirates’ latest Boeing 777 interiors extend into Economy Class as well, where travellers can expect updated design details and greater seat comfort. The upgrade forms part of the airline’s multibillion-dollar retrofit programme, which aims to revamp over 220 aircraft. To date, 61 aircraft have already been refurbished – including 31 Airbus A380s and 30 Boeing 777s.

Passengers travelling between Dubai and Madrid can also enjoy regionally inspired meals, a premium beverage selection, and Emirates’ renowned ice inflight entertainment system.
With access to up to 6,500 channels, including more than 260 Spanish-language options, the entertainment offering caters to diverse tastes and languages.
